Group Supported Employment
One way that our clients can earn work experience at Abilities Without Boundaries is through Group Supported Employment. This aspect of our organization relies heavily on community business involvement, something we pride ourselves on. Through relationships we’ve made with local businesses, we are able to provide accommodating environments at which our clients can gain hands-on work experience.
Abilities Without Boundaries supplies each enclave, or group employment, with an on-site Job Coach whose role is to supervise and assist when necessary. The Department of Labor has issued our organization a certificate that allows us to pay our clients based upon their productivity levels. These Job Coaches help to ensure that the quality and productivity needs of each business are met.
Some of our enclaves participate in Group Supported Employment at the Abilities Without Boundaries facilities. Since they may not be ready for or capable of community placement, these individuals are able to gain work experience in the confines of Abilities Without Boundaries.
