Meet Our Staff

Charlie Conway – Executive Director

Charlie comes to us with 12 years of experience in the non-profit industry. Prior to Abilities Without Boundaries, he was Executive Director of Fairfield County Safe Kids. Charlie is committed to providing a rich array of programming and opportunities for our clients.

Christopher Fanelli – Business Manager

Having been in the field of accounting for many years, Christopher chose to come to work at Abilities Without Boundaries in August 2012.  Christopher is a veteran of the non-profit world having worked at both Marrakech as well as a homeless shelter.  His experience as a social worker has lead him to Abilities Without Boundaries and we are glad to have him.

Richard Ambro, Jr.- Employment Specialist

Rich has been working with Abilities Without Boundaries since October 2011 and recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.  After working with people with disabilities for six years, Rich is excited to create new job opportunities and programs for the clients of Abilities Without Boundaries in his role as Employment Specialist.

Nancy Knapp – Officer Manager

Nancy first came to Abilities in 2006 as a Program Instructor.  Though she had never worked in the field before, she had a feeling she was destined to work with adults with developmental disabilities.  In 2011, she was promoted to Administrative Assistant, a position for which she has more than 24 years of experience.

Andrea Ober –Director of Operations

Andrea began working for our organization in July of 2001 as a Program Instructor and was the Case Manager from 2007 until 2011 at which time she was promoted from Assistant Director of Operations to her new role.  She earned a BS in psychology and interned at Abilities Without Boundaries, while in college. Growing up with an uncle who had Down Syndrome inspired her to enter this field.

Jessica Pulk – Quality Assurance Coordinator

Jessica started working at Abilities Without Boundaries in September 2010 as a Program Instructor.  She quickly worked her way into the position of Case Manager which she has held since November 2011.  She comes to us with experience in the field from a former agency.

Julie Ferrucci – Quality Assurance Coordinator

Julie came to Abilities Without Boundaries in November 2012 as a Program Instructor and quickly rose to the position of Quality Assurance Coordinator.  Julie graduated from Assumption College in MA with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services.  Julie enjoys working with clients with disabilities and helping them grow.

Program Supervisor – Melvya Blount

Melvya has more than 20 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.  As an employee of the Department of Developmental Services in CT, pursuing a Master’s Degree in business, she brings a unique and valuable perspective to enhancing the programs and staff of Abilities Without Boundaries.

Sarah Morocco – Assistant Director of Operations, External Affairs

Sarah came to Abilities Without Boundaries in September 2012 after more than four years with Best Buddies CT . She holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of New Haven.  Sarah is committed to developing marketing, job development and operations strategies to enhance the mission of Abilities Without Boundaries and advocating for people with disabilities.
